Cheap Colored Contact Lenses

You can change your shoes to match your clothes, you can put on a jacket that matches your jeans, you can even dye your hair just to match your favorite t-shirt if you like, and sometimes, colored contact lenses can be a lot of fun to play with. Here are some things you might not know about cheap colored contact lenses…

Your Iris Affects the Colors You See

There’s a question people ask that exemplifies the nature of perspective: what if we don’t all see the same colors? What if we both call a color blue, but the other person is seeing what we consider green.

Well that’s true, actually, to an extent. Your iris actually affects the colors you see. If you have blue eyes, you are going to see more lighter, grayer and, well, bluer tones in everything. If you have brown eyes, there will be a relative sepia tint to everything. This is why you can never seem to agree with your partner on what color to paint the walls: what you like looks like mud to them.

To an extent, this is true of colored contact lenses, too, even if it is often too subtle to notice consciously. So remember that you’re not just accessorizing an outfit, but your own vision, as well.

They Come in Prescription and Non-Prescription Varieties

Even if you do not usually wear contact lenses or glasses, you do not need a prescription to get cosmetic lenses. You can just walk into the store and pick out some cool colors. If you like going all-out when it comes to fashion, why not try a few pairs.

Likewise, you should be able to get ahold of some crazy colored contact lenses in your prescription. Very few prescriptions would actually preclude the possibility of colored lenses.

The best way to enjoy colored lenses is just to buy a few colors and see what you think.
